On Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Palais de France in Istanbul, a ceremony was held in which three Associations for Teachers of French in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Turkey, KAGIDER, received facsimile checks for a total amount of 10 000 euros from the Up Group Foundation (formerly – Groupe Chèque Déjeuner Foundation), in the presence of the Ambassador of France in Turkey, Mr. Laurent Bili, and several representatives of the Up Group Foundation.

For 15 years, the Up Group Foundation, working under the aegis of the Fondation de France, has been fighting against exclusion, promoting job creation and supporting the development of the social and solidarity economy by backing educational, scientific and cultural projects.
The Teacher Associations will use their check to purchase books and CDs in French for public secondary schools where French is taught.
The KAGIDER association, founded in 2002 by 38 Turkish women entrepreneurs, aims to strengthen women’s entrepreneurship and more generally reinforce the place of women in Turkish society and the professional arena. This association will be able to fund a meeting of women entrepreneurs and a round table on innovation in companies, with a view to contributing to the promotion and growth of businesses run by women.
